CVS Shopping tonight!

Tonight I'll be going to CVS for their Thanksgiving weekend sales that start tonight at midnight. There are over $150 of free deals that I will only be spending $8-9 on in tax. There are so many good deals and after I'll still be left with $20-$24 in Extracare Bucks to spend on anything in the store. This is the most excited I've been to go shopping at CVS and I hope that they have plenty in stock at their store so that I can get all the deals that I hoped for. I'm also happy to have Gerald coming with me tonight to help. He helps me find what I need and will help with the multiple transactions we'll be doing. Can't wait to post what I get!

A clean bathroom for free!

Got an awesome deal on the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner Starter kits. They are normally $9.99 everywhere, but in this week's Wal-Mart ad they were on sale for $3.97. I don't buy a lot of the cleaning systems advertised on T.V, but when I saw that there was a $4 off coupon in the paper and printable online, I thought I might get one and see if I like it, since it would be free. So, not being a fan of Wal-Mart, I went over to Target and got it there with the ad showing the lower price (love that they will ad match the price!) and I got myself one, and used the 5% off from their debit card too. I brought it home, tried it out and like it a lot. Gives a good fresh sent to the bathroom and helps to keep the toilet clean. So today I went back on my way home from school to get 5 more the with the coupons I had (2 printed off the internet and 3 from the paper).
Here's how the transaction went:
5 Starter kits @ $3.97 = 19.85
-(5) $4 off coupons= $20
Subtotal = -0.15
Tax:$1.20
Total=$1.05 or (21¢ a piece)
I'd say that's a pretty good deal for a 5 month supply!
PLUS two of the boxes had coupons in them for BOGO refills. Pairing them with a store coupon (I have ones for Target) and I could get some a couple refills for really cheap!

Paid to shop!

I got 2 Covergirl blushes, originally priced at $3.74 each, making it $7.48 and after tax, the total was $7.93. With a $8 off 2 Covergirl face products from this week's paper, they total was -0.07. They actually paid me the 7¢ from the register! I was amazed that I didn't need to buy anything extra. Free plus profit is spectacular!

Sunday shopping at CVS

I got some goodies at CVS this morning. I used coupons on all the items and had a $4 off $20 purchase and a $5 of ExtraCare bucks making my total $1.45 (the tax). I got $6 of ExtraCare bucks back from the transaction!

Free Niva Body Wash

Yesterday I picked up 2 bottles Niva body wash at Target for free! Right now they are on sale for $3. I used a target coupon ($1 off) and a manufacturer coupon ($2 off). These generally run about $4-$5 a bottle, so awesome to get them for free!
I have lots of body wash already and very often a kind will go on sale (mostly at CVS) and I can get it for free or profit, so I have a little pile in my laundry room of extra items to donate. I love being able to get such a good deal that I can give it away to those in need! That is what I love about couponing!

All the items in my give-aways pile are things that were free or I made a profit from buying.
Contents include:
3 Febreze warmers
4 bottles of body wash
2 bottles of Bayer aspirin
1 bottle of Excedrin
1 tube of Crest toothpaste
2 bottles of B6 vitamins
4 packages of panty liners
...and still growing :)

Savings at CVS

So today was a pretty good day for CVS shopping. I ended up getting all of this (in 4 separate transactions) for $1.63, all of which was tax. I saved a total of $38.51, and have $5 of ExtraCare bucks (like cash at CVS) to spend next time. I even took Gerald with me this time to shop with me. He tends to like to sleep in on Sunday mornings and just admire what I bring home. We already have plenty of body wash and toothpaste so when those things are as cheep as they were today, we set aside the extra items and donate them to the homeless shelters and ministries around the community. I love being able to get amazing deals for Gerald & I and also to be able to help anyone else that I can. We have to remember to bless others with what we have to give, it's good for the soul.
